Scars that never felt a wound

This is a collaboration between Ethan Ching, a friend of mine, and me.

Adam is aspiring to become one of the best lawyers in New York City. Everything was going well at his job but he wasn’t at the top yet; although he was recognized as a very good lawyer. One day he was assigned this big. He knew that if he could break this case that he would be known as one of the best lawyers in New York City. He was assigned to the case of this girl named Delilah, he was briefed that there was a murder in her neighborhood and when the cops arrived there she was unconscious with a gun in her hand.

Adam asked to speak to Delilah, as she entered the room he was immediately captivated by her beauty. Adam dove right into it and asked her side of the story. Delilah explained that her uncle was the one who framed her. She explained that her parents died when she was 5 and since then her legal guardian was her only uncle. It turns out that her grandfather on her mother’s side was very old already and her and her uncle found out that he was gonna leave her a huge amount of money. So one night she was at her grandfather’s house, all she could remember was that her uncle and her grandfather was there with her. Next thing she knew she woke up to sirens and cops around her. She looked to her hand and saw a gun; she looked to her left and saw her grandfather dead. After the story Adam took some more time to get to know Delilah. As every minute passed he found it harder and harder to convict this magnificent girl to death.

Adam next asked to talk to the uncle. The uncle came in and immediately sat down and told Adam that if he could convict his niece that he could make Adam the most well-known lawyer in the entire United States. Also he would pay him a hefty amount of money if he could accomplish that task. Adam looked Delilah’s uncle straight in the eye as he slowly considered his offer. On one hand Adam could achieve his life long dream, but on the other hand he knew that there was something there between him and Delilah.

It has been 6 years since that trial. 6 years since Adam had to make that difficult decision between his career and the girl he loved. Every single day Adam wonders if he made the right choice. Every day he wonders what might have been; but everyday he wakes up beside Delilah and he knows that he made the right decision. So what if he didn’t become the most known lawyer in New York City, so what, he knows that every time he gets to hold Delilah his true dream comes true.
