Disaster...

I've heard of floods in the Philippines, but what happened since yesterday is just so astonishing. This has really surprised more than ever, especially since these floods are so large. This has never happened before, and people are still stuck on their roofs. Truly a disaster that will stay on in history.

2009 is the year
When GMA has her last year
As the President of my beloved dear
Island Nation, my Philippines!

2009 is not to be feared
For we have had a great year
Full of weekends
Long and full of beer!

Thanks to those deaths
Celebrities and oddities
PGMA made sure
They are remembered

When Holidays fall in between
Or far within the week

GMA would make it a haven for all of us!

Make it Friday or Monday
But never in between
Her parlor days or salad days
For sure a 3 day weekend thing!

Ramadan of our Muslim bros and sis
We had another fun

Thanks for these needed breaks

Movies

Just went to G4 (Glorietta4, for those who are wondering...) and watched Kimmy Dora, a really entertaining comedy-drama starring Eugene Domingo, a really popular comedian in the Philippines. Anyway, it stars twin sisters Kimmy and Dora Go Dong Hae, who have been rivals ever since Kimmy got possessed by an evil spirit. She got better, but that experienced has left her emotionless. This in turn increased her intelligence, making her ideal in running a company. Dora, in turn, was born semi-retarded, after being born while her mom was taking a dump. Yes, she was born in a toilet bowl full of feces. Gross, ain't it?

No offense, though, but Philippine movies generally don't appeal to me. I too, am a Filipino, but most of these movies lack flair, and the scripts are generally predictable. But Kimmy Dora just takes the cake, and the comedic aura in it is really noticeable. I've never laughed this hard, seriously :D

Cool, huh? Made it myself :)

Dissidia apparently means "conflict" in Latin or something. And is also the name of the game every one is hooked onto these days: Dissidia: Final Fantasy. All characters from Final Fantasies I to X are in this, including extra appearances by a character from XI and XII.

What is it about games that make life go 'round? It's like, life is without a doubt, a bit boring without games. I'm not saying life would be dull all the time, I just think it wouldn't be the same :)

Oh well, there goes my fanboy-ish obsession over games. I recommend you guys to try out this game, though :)

the new fairy tale

many stories start with "once upon a time". but just because they begin that way still does not guarantee that it will end having the principal characters "living happily ever after". such is life and life is such. when the new and improved princess is on the same page as her new and improved prince charming, the rules change, making plans evolve into come what mays or whatever/whenevers and the final outcome does not really matter because being caught up in the here and now becomes the be all and end all of your relationship.

I've realized these days that people don't go to sleep early. That includes me. But why? Is there a reason why we do that? Or is it just the fault of the internet and all it's glorious information as to why we stay up late? Who knows, but I tell ya, I slept early :D
