Ode to Long Weekends

2009 is the year
When GMA has her last year
As the President of my beloved dear
Island Nation, my Philippines!

2009 is not to be feared
For we have had a great year
Full of weekends
Long and full of beer!

Thanks to those deaths
Celebrities and oddities
PGMA made sure
They are remembered

When Holidays fall in between
Or far within the week
Oh God Oh thanks!
GMA would make it a haven for all of us!

Make it Friday or Monday
But never in between
Her parlor days or salad days
For sure a 3 day weekend thing!

Philippine weekends
They ever end
I wish they won't come what may
PGMA, thanks oh thanks!

When Cory died, we a long one
When Manalo went, we had another one
Ramadan of our Muslim bros and sis
We had another fun

Michael Jackson moved on
The heck PGMA forgot
Francis M left
The heck i was in Maroc

Who else will die
For I will wait and sigh
If PGMA forgets
To lengthen our weekend

Thanks for these needed breaks
Why don't the world
Observe a 3 day weekend
Enough to spend

A hard week's work
By hook and by fork
I have to work
You all are dork
