Dreams and Screams

I wanted to become a journalist but I ended up becoming a teacher with a background in occupational therapy and masters in special education. I have worked as a storyteller, puppeteer, occupational therapist, resource speaker for special needs, consultant, chess coach, reading facilitator, judge for storytelling/oral declamation contests the past 8 years.

Now you hopefully know Paulo Coelho right?

Somehow his writings have helped me become who the person I am now. His life, works and beliefs have become a source of inspiration. I hope you pick up any of his books and try to read them and reflect on what he means and what it means to your life.

 Anyways, this caught my attention:

"In an interview, Coelho stated "[In 1986], I was very happy in the things I was doing. I was doing something that gave me food and water -- to use the metaphor in The Alchemist, I was working, I had a person who I loved, I had money, but I was not fulfilling my dream. My dream was, and still is, to be a writer."[10] Coelho would leave his lucrative career as a songwriter and pursue writing full-time."
If only we can live our lives this way....
